In recognition of her social responsibility to support humanitarian initiatives and her belief in the role of charitable action undertaken by civil society institutions, Her Highness the Honorable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman has directed the Ahd Foundation to provide financial support to the Fak-Kurba (ending financial crisis) initiative.
A pioneering initiative spearheaded by the Oman Lawyers Association, the program contributed to the release of a number of eligible detainees, who were charged with financial claims in all the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The Oman Lawyers Association defends the rights of litigants to achieve justice. Since the legal profession is a humanitarian profession, having an important social role and a means of developing mankind and advancing its civilization.
